Great idea Batman!
|
I'm guessing some of the next few bands brought up will be Smiths, Morrissey, Mars Volta, Muse, Joy Division or some other band everyone orgasms over.

I was gonna write up an argument for immortal technique

I'd agree to that. Immortal is teh awesomezorz. |
I disagree with Radiohead. It depends on what criteria we're going to let bands in on. While an "elite" minority may feel their massivly influential, they alienate a great majority of people. Is that the barometer?
Before everyone takes the "well thos people are stupid" approach, Lets use the first example as an argument. Bowie didn't always come off accesible, but people love him, not me, but people and I think Bowie does deserve to get in. Radiohead? I don't think so. If this Hall will represent us, lets not be Spin Magazine. |
Yes and no. Radiohead should have the door slammed on their face.
Although lala palooza was their doing. . . Damn. |
Why don't Radiohead deserve to get in?
I want to see a list of con's as to why they're a no-go. |
No, thats not the game, we shouldn't come up with a list for every band to keep them out. If you want them to get in, write up the list as to why they should. To do it inversly is stupid, im not writing up reasons why Stryper shouldn't get in.
|
Stryper should totally get in, To Hell With The Devil was a MASTERPIECE!!!!!

This thread will be moderated strictly. We're trying to provoke real debate.
I vote yes for Radiohead. There was no liked or disliked criteria given. Simply put, Radiohead have always been at the forefront of inovation and have always pushed the boundries of what is acceptable for major label bands to do. The deserve this spot for not only putting out album after album of greatness, but for doing so on their own terms. |
