That's your preference, it's by no mean objective fact.

I personally disagree with everything you have said so far, i think they are a very good band, and that is just my opinion... Nonetheless, my vote still counts.

Oh yes, they are.

Laces Out Dan! 07-14-2006 12:55 AM

Maybe its just me...but i dont see them as a country rock band

Their early stuff is country rock, but their John Walsh era albums have just as much blues and rock influence as country influence, and few tracks off Hotel California and The Long Run could be considered "country rock"... And that tends to be the period of The Eagles career that i mostly prefer.

You and your silly limitations when it comes to genre, this is our prog/image argument all over again... You try too hard, give up.

bungalow 07-14-2006 01:01 AM

What does this have to do with our prog/image argument? You lost me on that one boobsie.
My limitations when it comes to a genre?
That coming from a kid who generalized all independant music as "not being able to play their instruments."
You crack me up boo boo, maybe you should give up.
The only thing I could give up is the hope that maybe one day you'll remove your head from your ass and make a smart post.

Simple, you just keep hanging on by a thread (pun intended) and pulling lame, random comments out of your ass, your whole argument towards prog being about image was ridiculous and totally uncalled for, and something tells me this argument will disolve into something similar, or even worse.... And as always, i think you're biased and hypocritical as hell.

Almost every band ever could be put into more than just one category, because there are so many genres and sub-genres and sub-sub-genres that you wouldn't even know where to start, and a lot of them are very similar with just a few similarities... And most importantly, theres no objective truth when it comes to genre.... I wouldn't mind your statements if you didn't make it out like it was an unbiased fact that The Eagles are country rock and that they suck... It's when you try to be objective that you fall flat on your face.

Twisting statements again, i said "most".... You know damn well i don't hate all indie, so why even make an argument out of it?

As opposed to you?... From the way i see it, your knowledge is very lacking, to the point that you think all prog musicians dress up as flowers.

bungalow 07-14-2006 01:14 AM

Objective?
Who's to say that there is no country rock that I like?

I really like how you tell me I pull statements out of my ass.
Maybe it isn't necessary, but I could go pull up your ridiculous argument in the Mudvayne thread. Should I? Maybe if you weren't a hipocritical moron, you would understand how stupid you sounded to everyone while you paraded through the thread with your stupid comments.

I don't know about your last statement boo boo.
I seem to remember the conversation going something like this.

That was mainly just in retilation to your obnoxious attitude, and you were pissing me off.

It dosen't take a rocket scientist to know that i like a lot of indie bands, though most are 80s and 90s bands, but indie is indie.

Even so... Indie isn't a genre, any band under a indie label could be indie, and i am mainly refering to bands who embrace the indie image (yeah, theres an image alright) and have a whole bunch of sheep "fans" who think they are the coolest thing and for only two reasons.

1. They are on a small label.
2. They suck.

Technically, every band ever could be considered indie in the early period of their career before joining a big label... As far as i'm concerned, Van Der Graaf Generator are indie, thats just how damn vague the term really is, and yet all these little kids have to turn it into a exclusive trend for the so called "cool" people who only listen to "cool" music, and then they criticise grunge for being a "trend"... Thats what really pisses me off.

No matter what you say, my comments on indie and your comments on prog are not the same thing... Not even in the same ballpark.

bungalow 07-14-2006 01:28 AM

Haha. Whatever boo boo.
You're just as stupid as ever.

Expletive Deleted will put up with your idiocy long enough to have a 10 page argument, I'm just not that patient.

boo boo 07-14-2006 01:31 AM

Then you should stop starting arguments by being so damn obnoxious and attempting to use comments like "they suck" as a method of valid reasoning.
