Very nice. This is a good example of using vocals in an experimental contemporary way that actually works.

Dream House by Colin Bragg

This is one of those that will make you sygdh and wonder how good music can be and still go unnoticed. Sort of like a cross between William Ackerman and Michael Hedges if those guys were into using a lot of cool loopy effects and, uh, played experimental electroacoustic music as well.

One of my favorite Ambient/Drone albums of 2019. Slow, brooding, beautiful melodies that become hypnotic.

And one of my favorite ambient sets of all time. "Ecstatic Computation" itself is a fantastic album that fans of Tangerine Dream and OPN need to check out.

Yair Elazar Glotman Études

I come back to this album way too much, it's a masterpiece in terms of texture and mood. Probably my favorite composer right now, and I always try and recommend his music to anyone that's into jazz, minimalism, drone, or modern classical music. It's all a contrabass played in different ways, and through effects without feeling gimmicky or contrived. He made music with tape loops and cassettes as KETEV, a dark ambient project with some ties to techno which is worth checking out as well. He rides a line between two schools of music, and I absolutely love his methods because of that.

rest by shipwreck detective

Released yesterday this is a good one. Interesting crackles and fragmented instrumentation. Short and sweet as well and gentle. Like a nice musical handjob.
