I have about twenty or so songs were the song will reach a climax and then make a subtle stop for a few seconds and then start playing again, which can be a great way to pump up the audience if preforming live. The only ones I can think of right now are Dare - Gorillaz and Millionare - Queens of the Stone Age, any other good ones?

Anyways My vote is for Girl From Mars by Ash. Half way through the song it sorta fades out and there's a slight pause and then it gets back into the song. It's amazing.

It's just a quickie stop at the beginning, but I love the little break at the beggining of "Pepper" by Butthole Surfers.

Queens of the stone does a great job at this, they have it on a lot of songs.

We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

Chiodos - The Words "Best Friend" Become Redefined
Stops in middle and comes back with a huge scream and then the guitars kick in and speed up the song instantly
