To me there are two things that have ruined music for everyone...Those being publicity just like Uglycasanova said AND the second being Pop music...I'm not talking about old ol pop I'm talking about the new age boy bands and single female artists and such. With there "oops I did it again's" and "bye bye bye's" And because when I was a 8 or something...That's what I listened to...Very sad as it may be

This has slightly been mentioned before but only in parts. The biggest problem in music is conforming media. Everyone says all the same stuff is great. The general population is completely oblivious to a lot of the music that we listen to.

You listen to the scene aesthetic...

I vote for grunge, and boy bands... and toss off to the whiners, you can say whatever you want to say makes no matter to me, it's in my opinion... and yes, MTV these days does suck though once upon a time it actually used to be about music, no, really!

The worst thing to happen to music is Bono. ;)

You're close but not quite there. Scenes kill music. Most grunge before the Nirvana boom is really really good. Look at Soundgarden imo their first two albums are their best. Being a scene has killed emo look at all these pop bands it's putting out mistakingly under its name.

I vote for britpop.

Nah, i vote for Michael Angelo Batio, Rusty Cooley and other musicians who think playing really fast random notes on a guitar just to impress can make up for horrible songwriting and a really inept sense of melody.

That is, assuming they even know what melody is.
