I love the stuff that's coming out of Chicago and New York.
This American Life podcasts all it's shows. I think it's the best radio show currently being produced. Sound Opinions is neat if you like interviews. Radio Lab is an amazing look at our world. Filmspotting is a great movie review podcast. Keith and the Girl is funny if you follow it regularly. and of course I like my podcast too. It's called Have You Heard. It's a music review podcast that reviews two new releases each week, talks about music news, and recommends great stuff each week. |

Hi, haveyouheard,
I enjoy the APM Sound Opinions podcasts as well. As well as the interviews, I like the retrospectives that they do on old albums. Here are some of my other favourite music podcasts Mark Kerr's Blues Nation Guardian Weekly Music Podcast Times Sound Podcast NPR Jazz Profiles CBC Radio R3-30 |

a musician-friendly podcast
I would like to recommend Michael Angel's Cosmic Grab Bag. Michael is very supportive of independent artists of all genres and plays an eclectic selection. His weekend podcast is a rock show. You can contact him at michael.m.angel@hotmail.com Yes, he accepts mp3s.

Wow... kind of surprised there are only a few podcast threads kicking around here and none are terribly active.
Big fan of them myself, though my "favourites" tend to change. A lot. Lately I've been listening to Warren Ellis' infrequent but usually pretty damn good SPEKTRMODULE. It's smooth, sometimes weird music mixed with stray, almost -always- weird spoken bits by Ellis. Latest SPEKTRMODULE (10) is here: http://www.warrenellis.com/?p=13954 (No spoken bits this time out) And I believe all past episodes can be found here: http://www.warrenellis.com/?cat=63 (unless old posts get deleted after a while... not sure) Anywho, it's worth checking out in my (usually not so humble) opinion. |

Radiolab thirded! I love that show and have listened to every episode I've been able to get my hands on. If you enjoy that one I'd also recommend checking out the Freakonomics podcast.
