For hip hop.... Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Nortorious B.I.G., Beastie Boys and A Tribe Called Quest, if he hasn't heard them already... At least it should expand his tastes beyond the typical rubbish that passes as hop hop today, also Danger Doom's The Mouse And The Mask is great fun.

But for good ol' pop, Thriller... Anyone who says they don't like that album is a liar.
dude, did you not read the first post? this isn't for my brother's enjoyment, it's music that kids are supposed to listen to that come to this...whateveritis...i wanted you guys to tell me what's hot on the pop market in the last couple of months...what's topping the dance/hip hop/pop charts....

thanks uglycasanova, i've decided to focus more on giving him full albums right now, the mix tape is just a bonus ( the man has to have enough music to play all day long for 2 months ), this is what i got s far:
50 cent - get rich or die trying
beck - guerro, odelay
gnarls barkley - st.elsewhere
black eyed peas - elephunk, monkey business ( damn, i had no idea monkey business was such a fun album...i'm buying it )
rihanna - a girl like me ( i bet you didn't see that one coming, it's actually a pretty good album, a couple of slow boring songs, but i'm gonna cut them out )
madonna - confessions on a dance floor
gorillaz - demon days ( i'm not sure about this one, it doesn't have a fast enough beat...:-/)
hot chip - the warning? ( whatdya think? a bit too trance-y maybe?)
the chemical brothers - push the button

perhapse ( i still gotta listen through them better ):
jamelia - thank you ( who remembers this bitch aye? )
infadels - we are not the infadels
jamie lidel - multiply
kanye west - college dropout
royksopp - melody a.m.
soulwax - any minute now
tiga - sexor
white rose movement - kick

don't think i'm gonna let you off the hook so easy....i'm gonna keep bumping this thread till you give me some good suggestions...
btw, anyone have any info on what daft punk album is best to download?
