ok, so my brother asked me to burn him some music, he's got this kid business going on this summer, some jumping bullshit, and of course he needs some dance/pop music ( to please and entertain the kiddies ) and since i'm not big on the modern pop/hip hop production, i was hoping you guys could help me out, just name any song that has a good beat, from britney and destinys child, to any sort of rap/hip hop, anything that comes to mind and you think the kids might like...

i don't wanna rehash old pop hits, i'm looking for newer stuff and stuff that will make a good mix cd...i'm also thinking of giving him gnarls barkley - st. elsewhere...pleanty of good and fun music there right?

Scratch the New Order song & put on that version of Kylie Minogues Can`t Get You Out Of My Head thats been remixed with Blue Monday.

yea that all sounds good for an mixed fun pop/dance album for the kiddies.. good job Adidasss and good pointer Urban.. *i used to secretly love that song by her :p: *

krafty's pretty good, whachya talkin' 'bout?? it's got a beat man, that's all i need....
i'm also contemplating giving him the entire get rich or die trying cd....whacha think? it's not as if these kids know what fitty is talk about...right?

If your brother likes 80s new wave/dance pop stuff... I'd recomend Talking Heads, Joy Division, The Police, Gang Of Four, New Order, Prince, Peter Gabriel, hell even some 80s King Crimson.

For hip hop.... Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Nortorious B.I.G., Beastie Boys and A Tribe Called Quest, if he hasn't heard them already... At least it should expand his tastes beyond the typical rubbish that passes as hop hop today, also Danger Doom's The Mouse And The Mask is great fun.

But for good ol' pop, Thriller... Anyone who says they don't like that album is a liar.
