I have honestly never been to a bad concert. I am pretty picky about who I will spend money on going to see. Oh wait...Lenny Kravitz opened for Aerosmith. Lenny sucked really bad. He sounded horrible. It was a mess.

I saw the No Deachunter tour last summer. Deerhunter was easily the worst group I've seen in years.
For a supposedly noisy band it just sounded like some whiny guy playing mediocre pop songs with a few people in the background. Not to mention the rhythm section was virtually nonexistent, a washing machine would have been a more effective drummer. To be fair I wasn't expecting much but these guys elevated the level of suck so high I couldn't comprehend how they got a record deal in the first place.

Out of all the shows I've been to it was probably the Police back in 2007. They were late to go on, made us sit through two horrible opening acts (The Fratellies are NOT an arena band) and only their set was largely post Reggatta de Blanc material then just playing 10 minute renditions of their more famous songs. The band also seemed to have a pretty horrible stage presence, 3 people really do not need a 60 foot stage, I don't think any of the band members were within 20 feet of each other throughout the entire performance. The show my friend and I saw the previous night at this crummy little bar was far better than The Police, and significantly cheaper.

Axl and his hired guns bout 2-3 years ago. Jaysus it was ****ing abismal, didn't help that the acoustics were ****e in the venue. He was fat with dem stupid cornrows. **** I thought I had repressed these memories far back into the deepest abyss of my mind but here they are dredged up again.

I too am pretty picky about who I see so I can't say any show I've been to was terrible.
Even Hootie and the Blowfish (which I was dragged to by chicks! ) wasn't terrible because it was at an outdoor venue on a sunny day and I was in good company so it was pleasant enough. Music wasn't too loud so it was just like hanging out at the park.

Ive been to some bad concerts but I cant blame the performers.....
I think comes down to venue for my few bad experiences. The one place in my city where most bands go is probably 1/4 of the size it should be. I am always scared something is going to catch fire and everyone is going to burn up or ill get trampled. I seen Cheville and Stone Sour their because a girl asked me to take her years ago.... It was unbearable, it was like an hour into the show they just opened to doors and I couldn't move. I hate this place (Its named Headliners) terrible venue, every time a good band comes to town I wont go, They gotta drive an hour or two away because the venue sucks balls. But if I had to pick... It would Cheville and Stone Sour, it was just mellow plus I was packed in like a sardine. Every other year I forget how bad the place is and someone talks me into going.... Last person I seen their was David Allan Coe.... Which wasnt bad because nobody was moving because it was country, I just couldnt lift my beer to my mouth because my arms were pinned down. |

I got dragged to a Wombats gig by a so-called mate of mine a few years back, and I got the feeling we were the only people there who'd gone through puberty. Hands-down the worst gig I've ever been to (and I live in a town where the only live acts are lame pub-rockers to give you some perspective).
