Maybe the best combination of live jazz and hip-hop that there's ever been - this is what Miles Davis' hip-hop album should've sounded like but failed so hard to do which is combine the best of both styles which naturally go together seamlessly. Guru takes some really awesome jazz musicians here because he's not an expert on playing jazz instruments, and he kills the hip-hop part.

Also, I really dig the old-school jazz inspired album cover.

Yeah, Roy Ayers is probably the most noticable player on this.
He and Guru as a combination is kinda what drove towards Vol. 1 in the first place.

Love the way Guru' monotone works on this record.

Just bought a few new ones today.

CLPPNG - clipping.

Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star - Shabazz Palaces

Wheels of Fire - Cream

Worth noting that Wheels Of Fire has been unbelievable expensive - around $19-23 depending on which store I've seen it but I got this copy used for $7. Also got the Shabazz for $7 used. Had to pony up for the brand new clipping, but IMO it was worth it since I don't have any and it's pretty uncommon to find any used.
