That was great - I've been meaning to check them out since Petula mentioned them in that Riverside thread. When that bass kicks in... ohh that tone.

A quality EP that no doubt satisfied the appetite of fans of The Shins in between Oh, Inverted World and Chutes Too Narrow. The only new song is Sphagnum Esplanade a good, psychedelic, slowish song. The others are bona fide classics, and My Seventh Rib and New Slang are new live versions of the originals. A must for fans of The Shin, even if it's over relatively fast. |
