The singles on this disc are outstanding, but even the songs that aren't as well known like Colourless Colour and Cover My Eyes (especially this one) are outstanding. Just a really cool album all around.

yeah just yoobtubes her and decide for yourself I guess. i've been listening to loads the sweeping synthpop of the Julian Casablancas solo album for months now, so La Roux was not such a leap.

yeah i've listened through it a few times now, the dynamic range (or whatever you call it) on a modern chart-pop album is a tiny bit OTT to these ears *rattles cane* but all the songs are quality. The first half especially. She may be a bit 'finishing school' (they all are, aren't they?) but she's got a good pair o' lungs, and the musical backing is nice and complex,
