Budgie - Never Turn Your Back on a Friend
Twas listening to Metallica's version of Breadfan, then Budgie's and realized how amazingly good I think that song is. So now I have to have the album.

(1971)

Pretty much perfect double album of ambitious power pop genius, he reminds me of about 5 different singer songwriters all rolled into one, the ultimate solo project as it were... Some great nostalgia value with the track 'intro' sets this album up really, it is just pure vinyl-era greatness, each of the four sides has its own vibe. It also helps that his 60s band, the Nazz, were one of the best.

edit: when searching for an image of the album sleeve one of the first results links to Booboo's 101 top albums thread

Building Better Bombs "Freak Out Squares"

POS's hardcore band. Pretty interesting Refused-type stuff. He definitely knows how to make quality music outside of hip-hop.

I wouldn't mind checking that out son. It ticks all the right box's for me.

He started doing punk before moving onto hip-hop, I may have to give this a try.

I've got a different Tipper album called Surrounded but enjoyed it enough to seek out this one. It's far different, but in a good way. Not as glitchy as edIT, but it's got a real nice funky style to it that I'm digging.

Yeah each of the Tipper albums I've checked out have been pretty different, yet still retaining some recognizable characteristics. I'm gonna have to get this one over the weekend.

That Building Better Bombs album sounds interesting, never heard POS though.

Really solid Post Hardcore with a splash of anger. Great artwork too.

Just before they became a non descript Death Metal band they released this when they had more of a Grind/Hardcore sound. Immense if amateurish.

Idlewild's vocalist ( heard the name but no tracks) release's a solo album produced and with participation of the wonderful Kate Rusby and John McCusker. Patchy but some really good Folk gems on here.

Before they became a rather average Stoner band CoC were knocking out some great Crossover stuff and this is well worth a listen.
