Bobby Hutcherson's Cirrus: Recorded for Blue Note in 1974, Cirrus has Bobby back with tenor saxophonist Harold Land and an illustrous backing cast of jazz musicians. A fantastic cover of Woody Shaw's "Rosewood" is followed by four Hutcherson originals. Overall, it's some fantastic upbeat jazz that I've been wanting to check out for awhile. Highly recommended. |

Slab! - Descension (1987) Industrial crossed with free jazz? Hell yeah! Pat Metheny Group - The Way Up (2005) Fun & frosty fusion album with the 42-string guitar taking center stage. Think it even won a Grammy. Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane (1995) Classic black metal from the bargain bin. Kudos for having wicked art!

Continuing my recent back catalogue CD purchases. I got this for £3 today and it still remains my favourite Bowie album.
