Christian Hansen & The Autistics - Power Leopard
Fun local dance-pop band I saw last night.

Pixies - Bossanova
Not sure yet but I might like this more than their other releases as a whole.

Little Girls - Concepts

Little Girls - Youth Tunes
Noisy/shoegazey/indie band from Toronto. Also saw last night. A couple more that will have to wait until I have access to my turntable.

Really dosn't hold up to repeated listenings like Doolittle and Surfer Rosa do, plus they lapse into self-parody and self-indulgence here.I blame the lack of Kim Deal compositions.

I might be alone in this opinion, but my favorite Beck album is One Foot in the Grave from 1994. One of no less than three albums he released that year, it features some of the best singer-songwriter/folk music I have EVER heard . I was absolutely blown away. It's amazing.

I need to give One Foot in the Grave another run-through, as I do enjoy the songs when they come up on shuffle. But I've probably only played it once from start to finish.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I've decided to start off with Mellow Gold because of Loser. I'll give that album a listen next or whenever i get the chance.

I've only given it one listen so we'll see how it holds up. I really need to listen to more Pixies. I never paid too much mind to them.

Didn't like Mellow Gold as a whole, but it's not very accessible anyway. Loser is a great song.

Joni Mitchell- first 7 albums.

Also this:

Remember when the term 'Stoner Rock' meant more than a bunch of generic riffs that sounded great when you were stoned but average when sober? Well get some Hammond organ in there, Saxophones and emphasis on atmosphere and this will blow your arse off. Most stoner rock keeps me entertained for about 10 minutes. This is another matter entirely. Awesome.
