Part Chimp - I Am Come

Not really sure what I think about this album yet, it had its moments but it didn't really thrill me.

Had a track off this on a compilation years ago & really liked it .Couldn't remember the band or the song title but a chance encounter with the same compilation album on RYM meant I was able to track it down.

I do like a bit of lo-fi thrash once in a while

Whether I like it or not now we shall see.

Thumbs up

A show of hands - RUSH.

Reminds me my childhood.

Excellent sounding album.

And the sound? Oh the sound...

Have you listened to anything else by them? I thought Cup was their best, though I recently discovered that it's a singles and b-sides comp. Definitely their best releases though, and the songs flow together like an album.

No I haven't but honestly their sound did nothing to enthrall me to the point of looking for new material. If I'm taking a gamble on something I've never heard before and I don't like it I'm not going to stick around, it's like if I was served a dead cat for dinner, I'm not going to stick around for dessert.

That was their mid phase album. They started as a crustpunk outfit and just a few albums later ended up a sort of Lo Fi Sabbath. I don't have this one and haven't heard it for years It's a shame that they barely played live considering they were a part of the B'ham Metal/Grindcore scene in the mid to late 80's.

Test Icicles - For Screening Purposes Only

An interesting album, has some decent stuff on it and has a certain unique trait that I can't quite place. Doubt I'll look further into these guys, but for an album to break up my usual listening routine of metal, hip hop, and country it does the job nicely.
