don't go, AWOL AWOL! 2 months is enough to get a good haul if you trawl the list threads

Haha I don't know about that. Aren't you/weren't you in military at some point? And I plan to go through and fill in the blatant holes in my collection, plus hit up bunches and bunches of blogs I've been meaning to get to while I'm at it. While you're here, any recommendations for some good indie pop stuff like B&S? That's something that's seriously lacking in my library.

haha me military? nooo... My dad was was in the navy cadets and my uncle was a military man his whole life, that's as close as i'll ever get!

If B&S is who i think you mean then this is a good starting point for similar bands.. would particularly recommend 'the Glasgow School' by Orange Juice, definitive Scottish indie pop. Also when anybody mentions this genre I have to throw the 'CD86' compilation at them, good luck finding that though, i don't think it's currently haunting any blogs and my CD is back home

Yep, that is indeed who I meant. Orange Juice is quite good :) I've searched for C86 before but I haven't been able to find it, and I'm not quite willing to pay $45 for it... Thanks though, I'll look through the other artists on that page.

If you need Doleres & Black Earth I can hook you up. I love Bohren & Der Club of Gore, probably the best music to write to.
