A very difficult album. This is going to be hard to get into; I have a feeling it's going to be very rewarding in the end though.

They really did rock on Conan O'Brien the other night.

Everywhere At Once - Lyrics Born

Caught In The Trees - Damien Jurado

East Of Eden - Taken By Trees

^ There's actually a pretty interesting story behind this album, Bergsman lived in Pakistan for a few months to record, and had some wild experiences, there's an article in Under The Radar that goes into all the 'cultural misunderstandings' she went through along with the making of the album. For all you indie f4gs there's also a sweet Animal Collective cover entitled 'My Boys'.

Lunar Dunes - "From Above"

Killer bass and drum grooves with floaty psych-guitar over the top. Very chill. I've played it about 6 times in two days.

Julian Casablancas - Phrazes For the Young (2009)

This baby just leaked at 96kbps (which is only suitable for a preliminary evaluation, really).
Beats the pants off the last dodgy Strokes album and is a million miles away stylistically - an ambitious synth-pop album with epic track lengths (of which there are only 8 in total).
This rich kid's workrate leaves a lot to be desired, but the man can surely craft a choon.

Slim Cessna's Auto Club - Cipher

Really liking this album, just as dark as some of Jay Munly's solo albums, I think this may be my next write up in my Gothic Country thread.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
