I have long needed another album by the creators of the genius anti-war concept album 'Thank Christ For the Bomb', an album i have only come to fully wanting to f*ck in the last 24 hours.
This is whaddi got and whilst it may not be the bayonet-to-the-gut trenchfoot blues of 'Thank Christ...', it is just as beguiling and inexplicably Groundhogs-y. It seems with this 1972 album they really went all out on the progressive front, something that had only been hinted at before. Artwork is fokk'n bonkers too, old skool comic pastiche. GET IT and be the envy of your co-workers!

just youtubed some songs, seemed like a hit and misstape (eh?), never found the outlet to do some decent digging around for US underground hip-hop, it took me ages to know where to go for UK grime, when i was heavily into that.
Yeah that Grieves one seems alright, not really feeling most of the beats though, got that cheap home studio edge to it (which i wouldnt mind so much in other genres). Lyrically there's stuff going on which is a given at least...

^ Some of the best, chilled-out, groovalicious, lady-fronted jazz. Sweet stuff.

I sometimes tend to overhype an artist upon first listen. After the third or fourth I start to put on my criticism pants on and find the faults in the album. I did the exact same thing with Input. Don't get me wrong, the kid has some wicked rhymes, but he's very boring in the beat department.

Well fu.ck me. My dog apparently ate a pen and came into my room a few minutes ago and threw up on my Cities vs. Submarines and Chemical Chords vinyl. So I had to order new copies of them.
