Been on a 60's kick:

Really solid rhythm and blues, dated but still great:

Why the hell haven't I got into this band earlier? I think Urban mentioned them ages ago and I kept the name in the back of my mind. Blues Obituary is a little rawer and primitive than Thank Christ but both should be in your collection if you have half an ear for this type of sound. love it.

I can't believe how good they are. They piss all over Cream for that heavy blues vibe.

you know what, perhaps somewhat predictably, i agree with you there, they were raw as a very raw thing but they have a streak of melancholy to them, rather than pomposity. John Lydon was a massive fan apparently, makes sense

edit: dont get me wrong, i treasure my Very Best of Cream but they just weren't as cool
edit2: the Fall covered 'Strangetown' on their last album purdy well

MF Grimm - American Hunger

Finished downloading disk one out of three from rapidshare... this is going to take awhile.

Now I hate complaining about getting stuff for free but I do not understand why people upload stuff to that site. Their download speeds are horribly slow and they force you to wait before you download in hopes that you'll get tired of waiting and buy some of their overpriced accounts.

isn't MF Grimm the wheelchair-bound one? and what do all these MF's stand for anyway, it can't be the obvious...

Yes Grimm is the wheelchair-bound hip hop artist. As far as I know MF stands for Master of Flows, but there's a lot of different variations of it.

If you want me to check, I might have all three uploaded to megaupload in one link.
