Last Album I bought was Room on Fire, by the Strokes. Excellent cd, I find with a style as defined as the strokes you either love em or hate em, I love em , The Song "Reptilia" was a personal fav, as well as "You Talk Way Too Much".. i just think they are one of the coolest bands out there.[/QUOTE]

i just recently got into the strokes as well
Is This It is one of my all-time favorite albums
right when i was looking for a fun, cool, guitar driven garage band
i found one of the very best

I know it's not an album, but very excited about this purchase:

It got a special about the guitar techniques of Harrison and Lennon, and a Les Paul story. Very helpful, specially that I'm still a beginner.

I haven't really listen through for all of the fine details but overall it's mixed a bit quieter and slightly harsher. The regular one has a lot more punch to the mix. That stuttery effect in the Heart Shaped Box solo is more prominent in the Albini mix.

I love it. I have it from a torrent. But I want the actual album. What did you think?
