How much solo material does knoffler have, and how long ago was the album pictured released? I actually thought he had become completely inactive musically speaking...

I like that he got on with his solo stuff without rehashing the same old tired Dire Straits bandwagon... not that anything Dire Straits did was bad, it's just good that he had the good taste to realise he was going in a different direction to what was popular under the Dire Straits banner,l he'd had his commercial heyday and he was happy to move on to making stuff that he enjoyed and did well... I like that. Now no one can really say there is a tired and stale sounding Dire Straits album.

I downloaded Blueprint 3 and Chris Cornell's Scream. I haven't listened to scream yet but I just finished Blueprint 3 and it was pleasant to listen to. I wasn't expecting much from Jay-z. I thought maybe the singles that he put out so far were going to be the highlights on the album. I get to the end of the album and he decides to sample "forever young" that song is so catchy I have it on repeat right now, his track is called "young forever"

I have 15 solo albums from Mr. Knopfler and not counting this one which releases in a couple of days. BTW he has been quite active as a solo artist after the breakup of Dire Straits.

Two GREAT forays at that... possibly the darkest of their stuff is Delerium Cordia, and I love it to bits... and the other one... the name evades me right now.... is just damn good fun in weird sounds.... love 'em both!
