The second CD with the longer tracks are far better but it needs a full listen on CD on surround sound when it comes out.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Lee Press-On & The Nails - Swing Is Dead

A very interesting album I got e-mailed to me, definitely something different from the buttload of metal I've been discovering lately. Essentially it's "Gothic Swing" which I know sounds kind of... well totally fucked up but that's the only way to describe it really. With elements of swing (of course) but also country (a great cover of Johnny Cashs' "Ghost Rider's In The Sky"), as well as rock, hints of metal and symphony, this is one album that should not be overlooked. Definitely for fans of Southern Culture On The Skids, Richard Cheese, and Diablo Swing Orchestra.

Didn't buy any new music today, but bought a bigger memory stick for my Sony Mylo, which is my primary listening device, so spent all day uploading more of my favorites onto it... now I have an awesome range of choices... and still another 6 gigs or so to fill.... very happy!

I find it particularly useful to have most of my music stored as mp3s... during the process of moving to the US I had all my CDs put away into sleeve wallets and its a real pain in the ass to find things... having it all stored on one device makes my music listening experience so much more straightfroward and convenient!

Niandra Lades & Usually Just A T-Shirt by John Frusciante.

I had already been a HUGE (I mean, I love this man) fan of his newer stuff, but I had to see what all the fuss was. Basically, the album blew my mind. The guitar playing was so beautiful that the screeching vocals were not a problem at all.
