Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon

Why did I even bother downloading this? It's like a lesser Taking Back Sunday, who I enjoy when I'm in a nostalgic mood.

Blonde Redhead - La Mia Vita Violenta

Much better than what I was expecting for some reason but I can definitely see how they can be a little too Sonic Youth-ish at times.

You guys have NoW's DJ Kicks? If not I highly recommend it, assuming you like hip-hop too.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I picked a NoW album at random really - nothing like a good blog eh. Hip-hop's an area I've been meaning to dig a bit deeper into lately but not really done an awful lot about, so I'll give DJ Kicks a try for sure.

Marvin Gaye - Here, My Dear (1978)

Although the God of Motown is better know for his earlier material, I'm very pleased with this unfortunately underrated ditty. It's got a certain rawness about its classic soul trappings and subject matter, and I'm glad I took the time to find it.

King Crimson - In The Court of the Crimson King (40th Anniversary Remaster)

A classic among classics; decided to get rid of my original copy since I'd heard this 2009 remaster sounded far crisper than what's been out on CD for the last two decades or so, and I gotta say they did a really good job this time around!

Studio der fruhen Musik - Troubadours, Trouveres, Minstrels (1995)

Medieval music at its finest. Thanks Terrible Lizard!!!!

Yeah I think that's a good mix to check out if your exposure to hip-hop is limited, since there are different rappers on it. Plus they are not mainstream idiots.
