well it definately caught me by surprise.

but yeah, people don't give John Lydon enough credit artistically or as a visionary, imo.

Very much so. Beirut is one of my two new obsessions.

It's just the band's name, doesn't have much to do with your place of residence.

Gracias, Lizard. :)

^ Two more CDs that I have no idea about sound-wise outside what I've read online. Should be an interesting haul.

I have one Apostle of Hustle album, The National Anthem Of Nowhere.. it's great and if Folklore Feel is anything like it you're in for a treat. Crafty indie rock, up to par with, if not surpassing their other Canadian rivals.

Ah, sounds like good stuff then. I basically picked Apostle Of Hustle in particular up at random, so I didn't have much of an idea what to expect. Haven't listened to it yet, but I've checked out the LastFM page since.

Wasn't quite the case with Cinerama, as I do know they're fronted by David Gedge of the Wedding Present (who are awesome).

Anyway, just started a-downloadin' this little nugget...

^ Heard one of their songs before, which was cool, so stands to reason that this might just be as well.
