If you haven't got Ambassador or Tin Type EP yet then I would recommend those, however I'm going to post you a link to a Gothic Americana thread I started yonks ago that has many examples in it. Or alternatively I can send you the link to my all mighty Gothic Americana mediafire folder that has about 40 albums from the genre uploaded to it.

Gothic Country Thread.

First time? What an amazing album and to top it off, an incredible album cover. I was reading somewhere about how they set everything up for this picture. Pretty epic if you ask me.

My last download, thanks to Satchmo:

Love it.

st vincent "actor". amazing album! she really turns instrumentation on its head, using drums and horns and everything else in ways they arent normally used, so a lot of the songs sound backwards musically. really unique and great songwriting too

Just picked this up from the store yesterday.

Fela Kuti - Monkey Banana/Excuse O

This is my first Fela Kuti album. I've heard great things about this guy. After listening to it once, I can say I enjoyed it a lot, but didn't get quite used to the vocal style. Still, I'll be getting more of his stuff. Could anyone point me in the direction of some of his better albums?

The deluxe edition of Def Leppard's Pyromania. Never got this when it originally came out.
Guess it's never too late to "rock 'till you drop!!" ;-)

Animal Collective- Sung Tongs

I really like this, it puts me in this weird mood. In does feel like your in a camp fire where everyone is on lsd but there also this weird feeling you get listening to it. Whatever. Its really good and I want to listen to more of it.
Air- Virgin Sucides

This album is almost completly instrumental. Its really good but doesnt compare to moon safari. They try upgrade their sound, they do ok at it but i perfer moon safari a lot more. They focus on a lot of the ambient features that moon safari had more on virgin sucides.
The Go! Team- Thunder Lighting Strike

HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT. Amazing

I just won ANOTHER signed copy in a contest.
I'll be giving this one, as soon as it arrives, to my girlfriend.
