(Even the band itself has stated it put some crap on GT that would have been better left off.)

You seem to like the more slasher/GnR influenced tracks.

And to me Condemned by Rock n Roll becomes almost a bit of a joke at times with the GnR/Slash guitar section in the middle and the Lou Reed solo live Sweet Jane style outtro in the major key as the epic outtro and all.

So we agree it's a pretty damn good record but for completely different reasons.
I would definitely say it was their second best after THB. THB eclipses everything else they have done and theres been improvement with the last 2 records but GT still comes in second for me.

I've heard or read the band bash Loves Sweet Exile before, i think i remember that because as far as im concerned its the weakest track on the record but i'm not sure what else the band have said should have been left off.

I like the punkier, edgier moments in GT. Basically most of the tracks you put at the bottom of your list. I like the aggression and the Clash-esque riffs and it's enough to forgive the drumming in places for a start. The drumming isnt necessarily bad, but it's mixed in such a way that it can sound awful at times and the intro to Loves Sweet Exile is a perfect example. Condemned is such a good track to close the record with as far as im concerned, i dont think theres anything about it that makes it a "joke" at all but each to their own i guess, even if i dont get that.

Can't remember when I last listened to Generation Terrorists though. I do recall liking it though, particularly Little Baby Nothing (and its wonderful intro which they cut off the single edit I had previously).
Oh man, of course. I don't know how I missed that. That's definitely one of my favourites off the record too.

So Tough by Saint Etienne. I own their first album which I thought was merely ok but so far I find this to be much better.

Has garnered a reputation as being the best jazz piano trio album ever, (bass/drums/piano). I'll soon be the judge of that.
