I've heard or read the band bash Loves Sweet Exile before, i think i remember that because as far as im concerned its the weakest track on the record but i'm not sure what else the band have said should have been left off. I like the punkier, edgier moments in GT. Basically most of the tracks you put at the bottom of your list. I like the aggression and the Clash-esque riffs and it's enough to forgive the drumming in places for a start. The drumming isnt necessarily bad, but it's mixed in such a way that it can sound awful at times and the intro to Loves Sweet Exile is a perfect example. Condemned is such a good track to close the record with as far as im concerned, i dont think theres anything about it that makes it a "joke" at all but each to their own i guess, even if i dont get that. So Tough by Saint Etienne. I own their first album which I thought was merely ok but so far I find this to be much better. |

Has garnered a reputation as being the best jazz piano trio album ever, (bass/drums/piano). I'll soon be the judge of that. |
