Brian Eno- Before & After Science
I was expecting some ambient music but on first impressions this sounds like a glam version of the Talking Heads, or a more experimental Roxy Music.

Graham Coxon- Happiness In A Magazine
A nice indie guitar pop record.

The Clientele- The Violet Hour

Bob Dylan- Greatest Hits Volume 3
I was shocked to find this in my father's CD collection.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Good choice that Dire Straits album owns, Id advise getting 'On Every Street' & 'On The Night' live album next. Also what Rush album is that? I havent got that one. Have you heard a later one called 'Vapour Trails' (2002) ?

I got "On Every Street" too. And picked up Alchemy this morning too. Quickly becoming one of my favourite bands.

The rush album is Hempispheres 1978. No, this is the only Rush album I have. Does it compare to some of the earlier stuff?

Ah, good stuff man. Im gonna get Alchemy & Nick Lowe's Jesus Of Cool soon. Yeah I always thought they were shit as I had only heard 'Walk Of Life', but I dont mind it now since hearing the version on the 'On The Night' live album.

Oh yeah, Ive heard of that one. Ive got loads of Rush albums-
'Caress Of Steel' (1975), '2112' (1976), 'A Farewell To Kings' (1977), 'Permanent Waves' (1980), 'Moving Pictures'(1981), 'Roll The Bones' (1990), 'Counterparts' (1993), 'Vapour Trails' (2002), 'Snakes & Arrows' (2007), plus the greatest hits album.

Speaking on the Vapour Trails album, I dont think it sounds like any of their earlier stuff but I could be wrong as Ive not given Rush a spin in a while. I was surprised though at how heavy their most recent stuff is in comparison to their earlier stuff.

not horrible, but not great either

EDIT: after listening to the whole thing, it's better than i thought

oh yeah, these too

read the Linkin Park thread here saying it's better to listen to their albums than singles, so i'm giving this a chance

also read that LP was influenced by Deftones, which reminded me about the Deftones, hehe
