My Maudlin Career by Camera Obscura.

I'm lagging in getting new releases by bands I already love.

wolverinewolfweaselpigeon put me in an awkward place with this one. I like the singer's voice, it really does give a breath of freak air to the folk music scene (and Against Me really is more of a folk band) but I think it's kind of wasted. He's got a really powerful one that really reminds me of the singer from Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution and Streetlight Manifesto where you've got that fast paced punk beat, but coupled with mariachi style horns and fast strumming. I think if they did something more like that he'd be getting the most out of his voice, but regardless it's a pretty decent EP.

UNKLE - Psyence Fiction
http://www.kevchino.com/graffix/rele...%20Fiction.jpg
- ****ing amazing trip hop album, plus, one of the tracks is a collaboration between Thom Yorke and DJ Shadow <3

Mountain Ash Band - The Hermit

- Another good recommendation from Comus

Patrick Wolf - Wind in the Wires

- I was expecting very little from this, but it turned out pretty good. Nothing absolutely amazing, but definitely worth another listen.

How uncanny, I just downloaded that same UNKLE album. The only band I had in my U folder was Ulver and I think they were starting to get lonely, so I gave them a partner... now if only I could find another group that starts with X to keep XTC company.

How about Xiu Xiu... don't know what any of their stuff is like, but they'd be a complementary X band... :~)
