I was looking at Odelay's RYM page; it said that it's genre's were: Alternative Rock, Hip-Hop, Lo-fi, Electronic, and Folk...is this thing seriously THAT eclectic?

Yeah I listened to it earlier at work. Its definitely much better than the first one he did & surprisingly heavy at times. Also 'The ****ing Song' is hilarious.
So do you like Pulp at all considering his solo stuff is nothing like it. |

I was referring more to the fact that they both do a great job of blending different styles together. There's no denying that Odelay is more impressive than Elephant Eyelash, Oaklandazulasylum.. what have you, but I'd still rather listen to Why?.. I find his music much more capativating.

Sorry forgot to mention, I listened to Sonic Youth's new album, 'The Eternal' today & it is sort of a 'Goo-light'. Has slight similarites to 'Rather Ripped' near the end & the first track has a bit of a punky sound to it.
EDIT: It aint officially out til Monday, but I had pre-ordered it & I got it today (2 days early!) |
