My copy of the Complete Recordings:Black Tambourine finally came in yesterday and I've been playing it over and over again.

I love this band. Have you heard Vivian Girls? If you like Black Tambourine, you'll definitely love them.

I only had "The Way of All Flesh" and I felt I needed to change that, so I did because I rock.

I've heard of them and I've seen a couple interviews with them but I keep forgetting to check them out. Do you really think their similar though? Black Tambourine are more twee and Vivian Girls keep referring to themselves as a punk band.

Akron / Family "Set Em Wild Set Em Free"

So far I tend to like it best at 33 1/3 rpm (it is meant to be played at 45)

...but it's growing on me

I thoroughly enjoyed that album, but it had to grow on me too.

Bit too breezy, not catching me at all although the Frank Black song is good.

Brilliant stuff, the poor production is made up for by some quirky and forward thinking music.
