SEASFIRE - WE WILL WAKE (EP) (2012) Debut EP from melancholic, electronic indie band Seasfire. Influenced by Jeff Buckley, Echo & The Bunnymen and Burial and sound just like you would expect a band with electronic and downtempo influences from Bristol to sound like. |
[QUOTE=crazed;1349120]Chance In Search (1981)

Anyway, currently on the last song of this album. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...gentOrange.jpg Sodom Agent Orange Honestly, what is there to say about this? It's just some very fast, fun old school thrash. It's from 1981, and sounds exactly like that time period in every way. It's not exactly something that you will want to write an essay on, but its job is to make you headbang, and it does its job very well. |

BRETON - OTHER PEOPLES PROBLEMS (2012) London math-rock, indie-electronica bands first full length record, after a handful of EPs and remixes, including a remix for Tricky. Pretty decent stuff. http://static.rateyourmusic.com/lk/f...02/4600782.jpg DAUGHTER - IF YOU LEAVE (2013) Soft, gentle, dark folk & chamber pop band from Londons debut full length record getting a bit of exposure here from the British press and media. Currently on a tour of the US. I quite liked this. It's quite simple, maybe a little too simple and minimal at times, but nice, tender, poppy and at times dreamy melodies. |

2 Albums of Manu Militari
-Crime D'Honeur -Voix De Fait I have not listened to it alot for now but it seem interesting in some song in particular. I think it is Gangster Style Rap talking about a hard and criminal reality of a antisocial behavior lifestyle. The language seem to be something like a regional ''broken'' french. Post \2/ |
Finishing Sunbather, and then
http://cdn.stereogum.com/files/2013/...or-608x608.jpg I'm giving this one more go. If I don't like it, fuck it, I'll never try again. If I do though, we'll then yay me. |

A good album full of exciting power pop anthems, tearjerkers and crossovers of those. |

I'm an avid Amy fan, I'm sure this is known, so I'm really hoping these are some great B-sides. |
The Gap Band Magicians Holiday (1974)
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/316Ywgi9UnL.jpg Found this on vinyl today, reasonably priced. It's never been issued on cd. Their debut album after backing Leon Russell on his Stop All That Jazz album. A mix of soulful ballads and funky tracks. Nice to hear how they started out. |
Listening to this
http://exclaim.ca/images/metz8.jpg This isn't the recommend thread, but what's a band similar to this grungy modern hard rock? |
According to last.fm, Chelsea Light Moving, Hookworms, Dope Body and Male Bonding should all be similar to METZ.
|
Any actual opinions?

http://cdn.pastemagazine.com/www/art...jpg?1352713916 Mighty big fan of My Morning Jacket, and Jim James basically IS MMJ, so a solo record should be bonkers. |

The album art kind of inspired me to snag this album, I just really like the vibe it's giving off. Turns out it's a really cool pop album. I dig it! |

Listening too
http://www.albumoftheyear.org/album/...rban-light.jpg I love the hazy, 60's vibe in this record. On top of that, it's an indie pop album, so I'm enjoying the hell out of it. |

Really, really cool sort of ambient post-rock I found while searching around on bandcamp. I can't really find anything about the artist on the internet, except that this album was written while on a plane. The atmosphere of the songs definitely reflects that! The first two songs are incredibly gorgeous. Check the bandcamp here |

True Widow - Circumambulation (2013) The follow-up to 2011's As High As the Highest Heavens and From the Center to the Circumference of the Earth. It's not a big departure from their previous album and doesn't offer much new, but that doesn't stop it from being an enjoyable album. Their sound does however benefit from better production and perhaps more refined songwriting and playing. For newcomers to the band their sound is a combination of hazy indie rock with a big stoner rock low-end. A lot of their songs have a doom vibe without being metal which I find makes them unique. |

Washed Out - Paracosm
http://exclaim.ca/images/washed6.jpg I thought I was over chill-wave, but man this album is phenomenal. Really, well, chill and great for lazy summer days. Ben Marwood - Back Down http://www.israbox.com/uploads/posts...220038_350.jpg Saw him open for Frank Turner and he was hilarious. He's also quite talented as this album shows. It is quirky, but there is some great songwriting here. Jake Bellows - New Ocean http://blog.omahype.com/cms/wp-conte...-new-ocean.jpg Solo album from the lead singer of Neva Dinova, but I think he has a great solo career in front of him. Great voice, reminds me a bit of Will Sheff of Okkervil and I always like that. |

The XX - Coexist I regret downloading this. I decided to download it because I think Circe was raving about it and yeah. :banghead: http://cdn.hiphopdx.com/images/tech-...lse-deluxe.jpg Tech N9ne - Something Else http://www.strangemusicinc.net/image...CCDCES_500.jpg Ces Cru - Constant Energy Struggles These guys surprised me with how good they are lyrically. I didn't know much about them only that they were signed to Strange Music. http://www.progarchives.com/progress...91462013_r.jpg Karnivool - Asymmetry I'm late listening to this but the first few tracks aren't impressing me so far. |

It's been a long time coming and it was worth the wait. Quality old school breaks/ Hip Hop. I reckon Anticipation would dig this. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...ulswIDprNlK07w This is just the tracklisting from 2 many DJ'S album As Heard on Soulwax Radio Part 2 and they really are revolutionary D.J's although it's not a floor filler sort of album it is still intriguing enough for extra listen and for a pound I am not complaining, and talking about not complaining for a pound I also got this: http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...iYwYQvw9mfl0JA |

The Growlers - Are You in or Out? (2009) Nice Garage Rock album, I'm sensing this is the first listen of many. Sometimes the vocals remind me of Arctic Monkeys, and on the last track I'm reminded of Man Man. Very cool sound, a bit of surf involved too. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/60628da620a...f4/4835515.jpg Disappears - Era (2013) Only played this once so far, in the background while working. I found it surprisingly melodic at times. I thought their last album Pre Language was incredible so I'm hoping I'll enjoy this one as much. http://rymimg.com/lk/f/l/0d00a46e0cb...c9/4685366.jpg Lonesome Wyatt and the Holy Spooks - Ghost Ballads (2013) Been meaning to play this for a while after seeing it mentioned here a few times. Not normally my type of stuff, but I enjoyed it. |
Hey y'all, this is kind of a dumb question but I really want to know...can somebody teach me how to download torrents without ruining my computer? Like if there's any risk at all I can't do it. I've never had my own nice computer before and if I ruin it ill be screwed but I'm sick of listening to the same 10 or so albums that are on my phone.
