Well, after short hiatus I am proud to be,back, and... I have actually been buying new music! Yay!
Lets see three most recent purchases... No Line on the Horizon - U2 Narrow Stairs - Death Cab for Cutie Minutes to Midnight - Linkin Park I have to admit the last purchase was suprise to me... but its a darn fine recording in my humble opinion!

Grails' Burning Off Impurities: Beautifully somber and emotionally dimensional, as expected.
Russian Circle's Enter: I liked it okay. Perhaps not better than Station (the latest), but nonetheless, a great instrumental album. Doug Stanhope's Sicko: Have yet to listen to it. I just got it. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's Calibration: At first listen, I didn't like this very much. I enjoyed his instrumental stuff more, and he's getting too vocal for my taste. Not that I don't enjoy good lyrics and vocals - his brother's voice just tends to get a little screechy for me. The Clash Self-Titled (UK Version): Have yet to listen to this one. It was a gift to my boyfriend. I must shamefully admit I've never really listened to them until recently. |

I'm kinda' weird when it comes to Coltrane. I like his bluesier stuff, while everyone else tends to like his more free form modal work. For a long time I felt like A Love Supreme was the only album of his I really needed to own, but I just got Blue Train and Giant Steps and I'm satisfied that I have as much of his discography as I need. I may get My Favorite Things in the future though.
I firmly believe that his best work is on other artists' albums. His playing on on Miles' Kinda' Blue is enough proof of that. |

I've downloaded the new James Morrison album finally in anticipation if seeing him really soon! I'm so excited and I love the album, I also started listening to the support band vagabond and they are actually really good too! I can't wait to see them both!
