as for me R.Stevie Moore - Phonography (1976) already one of my favourite albums from one of my favourite artists O.A.T, you could say he is an acquired taste but in the context of my preferences and musical outlook his appeal was blindingly obvious from the first note. I feel really guilty for having never payed for one of his albums so that's next on the agenda. Black the Ripper - Black Is Beautiful (2005) Difficult-to-find debut mixtape of superior UK MC who's hits include 'Fuck Tony Blair', 'Hood Shit' and 'Dead Presidents'. The quality on all the shares i've found is a pathetic 96kbps so I am going to support this struggling artist with my money aswell. When i wring the funds from my struggling bank account. The minuscule listener base is such that he can get away with lifting classic hip-hop beats and killing it. In a good way. It's been postulated on grimeforum that there are between 50-100k (if that) grimeheads, about 10% of whom actually pay for releases, so it won't be paying any mortgages. Dizzee and Wiley blew mainstream after making commercial dance tunes but that's the way it goes... |

Chris Squire - Fish out of Water This is the one and only solo album ever made by the god of Rickenbacker bass playing, Chris Squire "The Fish" of Yes. Thanks to the presence of a backing orchestra and Mel Collins on sax though, the sound is both different and somewhat richer than the band he's been a core member of since 1968, and in other ways a bit groovier.
