![]() ![]() Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Grand Opening and Closing (2001) Of Natural History has been spinning almost continuously since I got it, so you can imagine my surprise when I walked into my local indie record store and they had this. Insanely choreographed massive assault on the ears. SGM are one of the most original artists I've heard in ages.

I really like that Shellac album but it's nowhere near as noisy as Big Black. It's quite 'clean' sounding.

![]() ![]() Motorhead - Overkill (1979) I feel like I've pissed away 23 years of my life not listening to this album. It's a weird feeling. This album is proto-thrash, face-meltingly fast and loud for it's time blah blah blah; but it has this old 50's rock n' roll vibe which makes sense, Lemmy is a well-documented aficionado and every interview I have read or seen with him he drops some knowledge about good music. |
