Post Unitopia - The Garden

Unitopia - The Garden

Best CD of 2008 for me!

Mark Olson and Gary Louris - Ready for the Flood is my latest purchase!

Very good work...if you like CSN, Fleet Foxes, Chris Robinson, (album producer) solo work, and of course Simon & Garfunkel.

Vocal based bluesy rock.

...and what a storming album it is. Marks the midway point between their synthbased Pop and their forays into introspective Jazz tinged compositions. First Talk Talk album I owned and still much played.

Shit hot.

Jim Martin - Milk and Blood

Shit album, I can't believe I made it past the first song. Things stay obscure for a reason...

I said I didn't like Sun Ra a while back, but now I really dig his stuff.

Getting into Sun Ra eh. Wonderful to hear that!

Anyway, since everyone seems to have this album but me, I went ahead and found it for myself-

Moondog - S/T (1969)

Moondog is kind of disappointing.

Both are good, but I'm sure that Unknown Pleasures will have longer legs.
