Lemme know if you still need Transmissions from the Satellite Heart. It's been spinning almost continuously this last week for me and it's definitely one of their standout albums.

So, lets look at my haul for today: Pink Floyd - Animals Well now, what to say except "Goddamn I wish I had gotten this album two years ago" or something along those lines. Gilmour is in top form here, and his playing deserves every bit of accolade that people award this record. Moon Safari - Blomljud Been a long time since I've been this engrossed in a new download. Of all today's modern symphonic rock bands, Moon Safari is definitely at the top of the line in terms of musicianship and pure vocal bliss, and this album showcases both things in droves. For an idea of their sound, imagine really good Yes-like progressive rock with infinitely more melodic Beach Boys-ish vocals and you've got a basic idea of why I'm in listening heaven right now! Here's a particularly good track from Blomljud called Yasgur's Farm. Vocals start about 2 minutes in. Enjoy!:
