Fordlandia - Johann Johannsson (for fans of lush, ambient, orchestral type music, I'd suggest listening to at least the first track "Fordlandia" if you can. It's beautiful stuff)

Court and Spark - Joni Mitchell

Eingya - Helios (I'd recommend this for post-rock listeners [jackhammer particularly might like this]. He has a good sound, and there's some really great tracks on here. I liked the album overall really, but it is a little different perhaps from straight post-rock. I can probably help get your hands on a copy, so if you'd like one, message me. Actually, the same goes for the rest I have here.)

What's Going On - Marvin ***e

Damn! I come on here to post the virtues of the latest Mogwai album I just downloaded and the first post I read is about how post - rock sucks..... damn!

That being said, I am listening to The Hawk is Howling by Mogwai right now and thoroughly enjoying this little epic! It is at once gentle and brutal, soothing and disturbing - love the twists and turns musically and in terms of mood and texture - definitely up there with their best stuff in my opinion, and I've only really heard it a couple of times now, but I can hear the major listening potential in this!

No. I like post-rock a lot actually just not sigur ros because they are boring and super popular.

I don't really see the irony, sweet nothing.
