This album is by far the biggest disappointment of the year. The last KOS album was pretty good and I expect alot from this band seeing as the singer sings for one of my favorite bands (Hatebreed), but this album is a piece of sh*t. Album covers cool though.

The Verve - A Storm In Heaven

Very true - I only recently bought Love Ire & Song, and I think it's great!

This one. It really upset me when they changed their sound.

Your favourite Verve album? I've had Urban Hymns for ages, which is their most commercial album so I thought I'd get another of their albums.

Is A Northern Soul worth getting?

A Storm In Heaven is very much my favorite Verve album. If you liked Urban Hymns you are in for a treat...that album has a more britpop feel to it but A Storm In Heaven has shoegaze written all over it (which I ****ing love). I like britpop just fine, but it was a tad disappointing for the Verve because the sound on this album was soo much better.

Btw...I have yet to give Forth a chance...anyone heard it? Yay or nay?

Edit: Northern Soul is also worth checking out, Stunt.

Oh god yes I've been waiting all year for this album to release! Such a good blend of New Orleans styled jazz with a nice cabaret feel and delivered by someone Tom Waits would be proud of.

The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang (2010)

Been a fan of this band since 2008 when The '59 Sound dropped and this is quite a decent follow up. Doesn't have quite as powerful a sound but it's the perfect summer driving album. Hasn't done enough for me to warrant running out to Best Buy to pick up a CD, but I'll throw it on my Zune and see if my feelings change after a few listens.

MF Grimm - You Only Live Twice: The Audio Graphic Novel (2010)

I thought this wasn't dropping till next week, however I'll take it. Been a fan of Grimm for awhile and enjoyed his 2007 release Hunt for the Gingerbread Man, but can understand why people were more hostile towards it. With any luck, this will be the album to earn back some fans lost in between American Hunger and Hunt for the Gingerbread Man.

Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More

I didn't like this band at first, their single was really overplayed here. Every time I didn't have a CD in the car it seemed to be on, I just thought they were mainstream crap. But I decided to give their album a listen now that the single isn't really played as much anymore and it's a really solid Indie Folk album.

Why would you do that? Do you even like music?

It's had a lot of good reviews, but I've come across a few dissenters since it was released. I loved it by the way - two or three of the songs on it have worked their way into my favourites.

Well, I needed work out music......and the Jock Jams were a good compliation that reminded me of the 90's.....I like the 90's.

Well...ok I'll let it slide if it's for working out. But you do know there was actual good music to come out of the 90's?

The 90's had a plenitude of amazing music! But hey, this thread was the 'last albums downloaded' not 'list your favourite albums of the 90's'
