The last album I bought was Politics N Bull**** from J.R. Writer

That album was pretty straight but im waiting for Writers Block 6 to come out

Maybe it's just me but I think Steve Malkmus's solo project is far better than Pavement ever was.

I don't think it's better just way more consistent. I only like a handful of Pavement songs outside of Wowee Zowee but I like everything Malkmus has done outside of them.

That's a fair assessment. I haven't really cared for them much anyways; Wowee Zowee was hit or miss for me and I didn't labor myself to collect other albums.

Make sure you have the original American CD issue version (there will be fourteen tracks and Dear God will be there in place of Mermaid Smiled). The 2000 remaster is compressed to hell. It's like someone ripped the balls right off of the damn album.

Get hold of Black Sea when you can - it's probably my favourite XTC album
