It was 1.90 euros so I had to buy it.

Hmm, just looked this up and it seems there are 3 non-album tracks on there, I should grab this.

Bought yesterday:

4 CD 80 track set with a huge proportion of everything Joy Division have recorded with a disc of live stuff and a huge and lengthy booklet. Very nice.

Such a gorgeous album.

Bought on a whim as it was cheap in a charity shop and I like Natalie Merchant's solo output. Only a single listen so far but didn't blow me away.

New Foals album out this week and just listening now. Still has that great guitar sound I like of theirs but early days for a solid opinion.

In My Tribe is 10,000 Maniac's best album so good choice I like it.

I'm actually going to go with This Business of Art, however If It Was You is definitely my second favorite album of theirs. My Number and Come On are fantastic tracks.

as for last downloaded...

Oh man, I'm so jealous. I've wanted that box set for such a long time. I love the demo version of Ceremony...I just wish it was properly recorded.

James 05-14-2010 06:00 PM

^That's quite good that.

Only set me back £20 which is a fiver a disc so happy days although now I have a spare copy of Unknown Pleasures as both albums are included on the discs but I think I will keep it for the original artwork. Yes I am sad that way. I could upload it for you over the following week?

I think I will take you up on that offer...I plan on buying it for the booklet and just to complete my Joy Division collection, but I don't think I can wait to listen to it. Plus I need to wait until I have a bit more expendable cash. Thanks a lot, man!

And I know what you mean about keeping your original copy of Unknown Pleasures...I'm the same exact way with my collection. I have the Led Zeppelin box sets which combined cover their entire output, but I still have all the proper albums as well.

That record is enormous, in every sense of the word.

+81 05-15-2010 05:49 PM

Indeed it is. No doubt one of my all time top 10.

I listened to this man a while ago and thought meh, nothing special. I recently revisited a couple of his albums on Spotify and it's just shown me how my musical taste has matured.

Jim Whitely. He is now a postman and I worked with him for around five years. Still a classic Punk who is in his late 40's bless him.

Waterclime - The Astral Factor (2006)

Unusual solo project from Mr. V, the main songwriter/vocalist behind black metal group Vintersorg. Amazing stuff; crossbreed classic Yes and Uriah Heep with the stylings and production of a Roxy Music album and you'd be right on track with the sound at play here.

Sun Ra - The Magic City (1965)

A weird album even by Sun Ra standards...but by the gods what an atmosphere!

Weird by SUN RA standards?
What is it, neo-atmostpheric-avantprog-free jazz?

Anyway, I downloaded this:
http://i44.tinypic.com/ncbaxt.jpg
It's an afro! It's a mustache!
It's...
Manduka's self-titled debut!
Ridiculously smooth male and female vocals with Brazilian guitar melodies and percussion. Sweet stuff.

My last were Mudvayne's "A New Game" and their self titled. I almost walked out of the store without them. I was just browsing, saw them, thought about making a purchase, decided not to, walked away, thought some more, said "why not!?", walked back, grabbed them and took them to the counter. They're good enough for me to honestly say that I don't regret that decision. I'll probably be buying Skeletonwitch's "Breathing the Fire" and The Red Chord's "Fed Through the Teeth Machine" very soon also.

Villagers - Becoming A Jackal

Good Indie-Pop album from what I can tell so far, some really good songs on it. I've only heard it the once though so there's a lot of room for it to grow on me. Big thanks to Mojo for this album :thumb:

this is some wild stuff. it's based on electromagnetic readings amassed by the Voyager I and II space probes, which has been transformed into sound. it's definitely worth checking out if you enjoy dark ambient.

If you're talking about No Singles, that's just a collection of previously released songs from EPs and stuff. My hopes were up for something new.

That makes so much more sense...no wonder it isn't as solid as Post Nothing.

Hm...thanks for the info.
