Harry Pussy - A: In an Emergency You Can Shit on a Puerto Rican Whore

Early 90s noise rock.
Looking forward to hearing their cover of Kraftwerk's Showroom Dummies

I don't think you'll find this band lacks noise. I've got this album, What is Music?, and some single stuff if you get a hankering for more.

Really don't know where to go next with this band :( I listened to EVOL and didn't find it particularly good on the first listen. May go for Washing Machine next.

I rate Washing Machine pretty highly and wouldn't hesitate to say go for that. I think it fits in well with albums like Goo and Dirty (also good if you haven't heard it) but definitely has a sound of it's own. Confusing is Sex is certainly much closer to EVOL and Bad Moon Rising but I find it more interesting and is my favourite SY album.

Plus, I already like the opening track Becuz. :D I think I'm gonna get Washing Machine and one of the two albums Urban suggested.

In Utero - Nirvana.
It was in need of replacing.

if you like Bohren & Der Club of Gore, then you'll definitely dig this:

Somewhere off Jazz Street

band with a funny name called Somewhere Off Jazz Street
and all their albums are FREE (though they accept donations)

go for the HQ downloads, the ones in the main area are just 128.

Bought on CD

Dilated Peoples - Neighborhood Watch (2004)

Picked this up on CD today because it was pretty much the only hip hop album at my local record store that I had on my hard drive. Not the best Dilated Peoples album, but certainly an album worth checking out if people are into underground hip hop.

http://awesame.org/gronk/killing_jok..._joke_2003.jpg

Killing Joke - Killing Joke (2003)

The second self titled Killing Joke album and the album that brought Killing Joke back into the spot light and relevancy. While this one was one of their better ones, the follow up Hosannas from the Basement of Hell (2006) was a far better album.

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Really like this album, not sure if they have any other albums that measure up to this one though. Dunno which one I should get next. Maybe Being There..

Helios Creed - Superior Catholic Finger.

Being a fan of Chrome I thought I'd delve into this guy's discography. Interesting is the word I'd go for after first listen.

A.M. & Being There are the best two Wilco albums in my opinion.

I've only heard A.M and Being There once respectively, I just know I enjoyed Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Why do you rate A.M and Being There higher than YHF?

I like the more Americana feel to the first two Wilco albums, A Ghost Is Born is probably closer in sound to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot than the first two, you may also like the live Kicking Television. I Am Trying to Break Your Heart is a great documentry on the making of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Out of A.M and Being There, Being There sounded better. But that was just first impressions. I'll listen to A Ghost Is Born at some point no doubt :D

I'll have to look that up, I love a good documentary. I'm beginning to really like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot as well.

Thanks man:). I haven't really uh... listened to them yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I tried playing Peeping Tom in the car yesterday but Mike Patton is a little too awesome for my mom.

I sort of accidentally ended up listening to my iTunes recommendations FOR ONCE, and I'm actually glad I did. This album is absolutely and chillingly brilliant.

Picked up these 2 mofos on cd during my venture into town today

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Jts7L87kB_...CopperBlue.jpg

Sugar - Copper Blue
Bob Mould's post-Husker Du band. 10 blistering slabs of pop-rock genius and not a hint of filler. Bloody awesome album.

http://awaretune.files.wordpress.com...10/pelican.jpg

Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw
A stunning post-rock album with some really beautiful glacial soundscapes giving way to towering walls of guitar. An amazing trip.

Psychedelic Black Metal? Yeah alright.

Tell us how you find that one...I've got a soft spot for black metal and psychedelic black metal sounds interesting enough to check out...

Went on a bit of a music buying / downloading spree today to be honest, but it was a great day because of it! Spent most of the morning gathering up as many Strapping Young lad tracks as limewire would yeild, then downloaded Sound Awake and Themata by Karnivool... and while out shopping i also picked up load and reload by Metallica (underrated, IMO) and I finally caved and bought The Resistance by Muse.... just too many of those songs sound too darn good to these ears! :)

Absolutely love the version of Pouring Water On a Drowning Man on that - first song I ever learned to play that was. I'd be lying if I said to much of the rest of the album a lot though.

If you like A.M., I highly recommend these albums:

The Jayhawks ~ Hollywood Town Hall
Son Volt ~ Trace

Also Tweedy's first band Uncle Tupelo, which he was in with Son Volts Jay Farrar.
