I think this album is holding up great since it’s 2016 release. Great band.

![]() ![]() Toshifumi Hinata - Chat d'Ete (1986) - Ambient, Neo-Classical, Jazz All four albums that Hinata did in the 80's are basically perfect, but this one I recently picked up has a particularly nostalgic yet decadent vibe about it. It's the perfect soundtrack for a Legend Of Zelda game that never was.

I got a bunch of lp's and cd's over the holidays; I gave two of the cd's a listen today (since I finally have a cd player):
Guus Janssen - Meeting Points https://bimhuis.bandcamp.com/album/meeting-points Very enjoyable Dutch jazz, nice but also humorous. One track (I think the sixth?) reminded me of Bach. Henk Meeuwsen - Merels en meer ('blackbirds and more') Literally an hour of blackbird sounds. With sounds of other birds, insects, and rain in the background. It's the most delightful thing

Some groovy instrumental surf-rock from 'The 427's' out of Calgary in Alberta, Canada...
