Wonderful album Bulldog. The Pogues hit the heights with that one IMO.
Just to make you jealous I caught The Pogues live many many moons ago. I enjoyed the gig but it was typical from what I have read. Shane drunk out of his brain, abused the crowd, sat on the side of the stage and had a kip until they performed Yeah Yeah Yeah when he got back into it. Spider sang for most of the time, I remember him calling Shane a grumpy ****er or something like that. Great night. |

![]() As for the album, I just can't stop listening to the Turkish Song Of the Damned - one of the catchiest melodies I've heard (for the first time) in quite a while. It's not quite Rum, Sodomy and the Lash but it's still a wonderful piece of work. |
