Incredibly, some bands are still releasing albums on 8-track tapes.

Reggae meets Ramones...

Bobby Ramone - Rocket to Kingston (2020)

An amusing combination of Bob Marley and the Ramones. Not an album I'd bother to buy a copy of or listen to again but it was a fun listen all the way through.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Negative Space - Hard, Heavy, Mean & Evil (1970)

Quote:
A crucial and thundering piece of proto-metal history! Negative Space's lone 1970 album is an impossibly rare private press treasure and one of the missing links connecting Blue Cheer to Black Sabbath. Full of roaring guitar, pounding drums, and vocals reverberating with angst fueled frustration, this intensely fierce piece of rock and roll lore is finally available digitally!

A sloppy, garage-metal kind of vibe.

It's probably been a couple of years since I last gave this one a spin but I was reminded of it today and thought I'd give it another go...

Schizofrenia - Taste of Blues (1969)

Pere Ubu - 390 Degrees of Simulated Stereo (1981)

Quote:
Rack it with the classic bootlegs of yore. A long lost and simply breath taking live Ubu collection culled from 1981 recordings in Cleveland, London and Brussels featuring the band’s original line up with Peter Laughner and Tim Wright.

“The lo-fi recordings almost always sounded better to us than the hi-fi recordings.” David Thomas

The sound of a band at their anarchistic and experimental best, twisting the mainstream for their own ends. A white-knuckle cascade through their formative inventiveness, a unique document, now fully remastered it includes songs from the ‘Datapanik’ EP and ‘The Modern Dance’ LP.
