Got this downtown in my fave record store.
Opeth - Blackwater Park The second Opeth album I've got now. It's ok, but I liked Deliverance better. This one doesn't strike me as quite as memorable so far. Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence I don't mind Dream Theater as much as I used to, but I still don't quite know what to think of them. This is one of the albums I think I'll find a bit easier to get along with, based on past encounters. |

Damnation and Watershed are definitely the top tier Opeth albums. Former cause their acoustic material is beautiful and the latter because it has a lot of variety.
Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence...yeah, one of the better Dream Theater albums. Lots of strong melodies and more diverse songwriting than normal. They had a real hard-on for Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, King Crimson and Kevin Gilbert's 90's stuff at the time.

The Glass Prison is really good as I recall, though never really cared for that album much. |

I tend to swing back around to bands after a while. Opeth and DT are growing on me, Tool not really. Although 10.000 Days has it's moments. |

Haven't heard this one in a while, so I thought I'd give it a spin.
