I just bought Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age. I've listened to my pirated version (oops! is that allowed here?) of the album to death, and on a whim decided that I should show my support for the awesome band.
Can't seem to stop playing God is in the Radio. |

I can tell the difference on my high end headphones between lossy and lossless formats.... is it big enough of a difference to bother me. Not really. There's not enough compromise in the sound quality that i don't miss the overall qualities of the music, the bass is nice and deep, the treble tones are nice and sharp, and the mid range is fine. Hey it's all still way better than grandpa's gramophone...

Ooooh, a friend of mine loves The Tallest Man On Earth's debut. I've given it a listen and I'm not really into it. Do you like it? If so what do you like about it? |
Calle 13-Los De Atras Vienen Conmigo
http://esp4.com/wp-content/uploads/2...nmigo-2008.jpg -so far i'm really liking it, i really don't see why people say these guys are still reggaeton when alot of the beats and instrumentation is so much more. Death From Above 1979-You're a Woman, I'm a Machine http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_y2jXCBhY03...Above+1979.jpg -love the bass and the vocals working together, it's heavy and at the same time accesibly dancable Shawn Lane-Powers of Ten http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tWm-tESq5H...en+-+Front.jpg -just listened to the first track......think i'm in for quite a ride Suffocation-Peirced From Within http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Lzg6AqXRRm...1894825_20.jpg -got this on a spur of the moment, gonna give it a listen tommorow |

I’m not much of a fan of a lot of the tech. deathgrind type stuff they helped open the floodgates for but this is a real gem. Their Effigy of the Forgotten album is pretty flawless as well. Just picked up: MASOCHIST - History (2007 compilation) http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000O75VM6.jpg |
Been on a serious Wire kick recently and they are fast approaching my favourite bands list. Every release is that little bit different. Never a band to rest on their laurels and fans of all manner of guitar music can find something by them that they would like. Incredibly underrated band.

I just downloaded this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_3vOU94yccT...p%27n+jazz.jpg because lately I've been really interested in hardcore/emo, I like this album because it's more upbeat, but still delightfully noisy. |

And you can never go wrong with Cap'n Jazz :) |

I've never had much of a liking for folk but there's something about him that makes him different.. for whatever reason I enjoy him thoroughly. I hope I'll like it as much as I do the original! |

Name "Internet Killed The Audio Star"
http://www.cmdistro.com/images/xlarge/33096.jpg I just found this band/album a few days ago. I'm really enjoying it, it reminds me of BTBAM and The Dillinger Escape Plan a lot. It's heavier than both though, and looking to be one of my favorite albums this year. |

I havn't listened to it yet, but I'm loking forward to it. |

Carbon Leaf - Echo Echo
http://images.uulyrics.com/cover/c/c...-echo-echo.jpg MusicPhantom's review in his journal (and the kindly-provided link) turned me on to this one. Sounds like it'll be pretty cool. Arovane - Tides http://www.plong.com/MusicCatalog%5C...0-%20Tides.jpg Some fairly lively-sounding IDM judging by the one track I've heard beforehand. Another one that seems like it'll be pretty cool. |

Don't ask me why. But I was curious to what it would sound like. Not Bad. The classical side of the beast. |
^^^
My mum would enjoy that |

LateNightTales - The Cinematic Orchestra This album inspired me to download the whole series to date. So needless to say that's all I'll be listening to for the next couple of weeks. If anybodies interested in checking out one of the albums Cover Versions is being offered free on their website: Cover Versions - FREE CD OFFER . Homepage . LateNight Tales Quote:

^ Looks pretty solid to me. Thanks for posting!
And that reminds me... I think it was you who posted this in the Album's You're Digging thread: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg Which is my most recent download, and upon a first listen, I like it quite a lot. So thanks for that too. |
From the recent record store trip:
http://img.noiset.com/images/album/l...ver-53435.jpeg Lightning Bolt - Ride The Skies I've had this for so long, it's about time I went out and bought it. Still haven't decided which I like more out of this and Hypermagic Mountain. Definitely my favourite LB album artwork. http://static.boomkat.com/images/212790/333.jpg Boris and Sunn O))) - Altar Some collaborative drone. http://www.shellshock.co.uk/images/sleeves/GR967.jpg AIDS Wolf - Dustin' Off The Sphinx Some noise rock. I have The Lovvers LP which I quite like so I thought I'd give this a go. |
Lost Bodies - δο ντίεση
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_sOm1rcDGtw.../Do+Ntiesi.jpg Some Greek noise rock/post-punk I found while looking for the below link. Needless to say, no real idea what I'm in for. Dali's Car - The Waking Hour http://www.amiright.com/album-covers...aking-Hour.jpg And after months of being obsessed with Japan and David Sylvian, I've finally got this one. |

Woodhands - Remorsecapade Not sure yet, but based on what I'm hearing so far this is really interesting. All sorts of electronic styles, all with a dream pop feel. |

Streetlight Manifesto - 99 Songs of Revolution Vol. 1 (2010) Oh **** yes. |
The last album I bougt was Ki by the wonderful Devin Townsend.... I've had a downloaded copy of this album for some time now and i love it to pieces already... hence, i decided it waqs time the artist got his dues for it, and in return, i guess i get some really nice artwork and the same music at a better bitrate...
|
the last thing i downloaded was Autoditacker by Mouse On Mars...it just now finished so I'll have to check it out! You never know what to expect from those crazy Deutschlanders!

On a whim...we'll see how it is, I've been pretty interested in their style of music lately, see if they are as good as some of the other stuff I found. |
