I really like it. It’s so raw and spontaneous, which is great, as I find Prince’s music to often be overproduced (as so much pop was during his time).

Yeah, don't expect great fidelity,
but you do get a kind of nice intimate
peek at how he put his world together.

It reminds me of listening to blues recordings from the 30's, or bootleg tapes of live performances from the 70's. In my opinion, the fuzziness only adds to it.

Ordered these 4 CDs:

Laura Veirs - Year of Meteors

Listened to one of her other albums while at work and it was a thing of beauty. Decided to get an album, so I just went with the cheapest one I could find. I feel like I can trust that it's going to be good.
Getting into her because that Neko Case/KD Lang/Laura Veirs collaborative album was so damn amazing.

Fiona Bevan - Talk to Strangers

Bumped into this on Amazon because her last name is shared with the artist I was actually looking for. It was cheap and seemed promising enough from the snippets I heard. Already forgot what it sounded like, but uhh... I trust my own judgment.

Sophie Bevan - Songs of Vain Glory

This was what I was actually looking for when I found the previous album. Related to some other music I've bought on amazon, so that's how I bumped into this one. Only had to listen to one track off Youtube to feel convinced that it's gonna be great. I'm warming up to classical vocals after a while. Took a while for me to be able to truly appreciate this sort of thing. But damn, this really sounds great to me.

Le Prince Miiaou - Fill the Blank

Some kind of French electronica/indie-electronic. Can't remember what it sounds like and I've only heard one song from their upcoming album anyway. But I liked it, obviously. This is an older album, but the only one I could find on amazon.

Yeah, I kinda had that feeling too.
Interesting to hear some of these
people who seemed to have gone
on to other things end up on this.

A Marcos Valle fan and he has a
new album out that I'm excited to
dive into called Nova Bossa Nova.
(Actually, it's the new re-release).
