I listened to it when it was released. It was underwhelming for me. Not bad, but not enough fire to hold my interest. Rather bland, like white bread.

Lustmord - Paradise Disowned (1986) [2013 Remastered]

Didn't realize my favorite album from the dark ambient king had gotten polished up a bit a few years ago. So damn good.

I should have specified that it was 4 albums that I just ordered online, so I haven't received and heard them yet.

But I'm a huge fan of Neko Case by now. I don't listen to the other two, even though I did check them out at some point.

I'm going in with an open mind, but it definitely is the connection with Neko Case that made me buy it.

If I remember to, I'll respond again when I've finally heard it a bunch of times.

Looking for a "random album thread" album, I found this one. Haven't written about it in there yet, but I loved it so much that I just had to own the CD. Ordered it this night as the last thing before I go to bed.

Karin Krog - Songs About This and That

Kind of a light, jazzy thing, but a bit on the odd side and with loads of atmosphere.

Took a trip to my old hometown for the holiday and checked out the vinyl at Bartertown Collectibles. Found Tom Waits' The Black Rider, Real Gone, and Blood Money, (all of which I have already so I left them for the next digger). But I took home a KLF deleted single I was missing and The Orb's Little Fluffy Clouds! Also picked up a Harold Budd LP missing from my collection at The Bop Shop.

But the most intriguing new find was this beautiful NASA/science collectible from 1969 - Time Life's To The Moon 6LP box set with 192pp hardcover book brimming with photos and info about each space mission.

I bet this set is filled with content sampled by all my favorite downtempo artists so it will be fun to explore.
